Club champs 2017 draw

NPTC Club Championships & Purple celebrations 2017 day – Sunday 1st October

Hi members and families!

Each year we run our annual adult and U18s club championships for all our members for matches culminating in the finals. Last year, the celebration finals day was bigger and better than previous years but we want to do more for more members to enjoy our purple courts as a whole club.  This year we are holding the junior finals in the morning to celebrate their success and holding more free play and kids sessions through the day with the ever popular BBQ too.  The junior club champs day (except the mini finals) will be run by Gavin; details to be announced soon.

So DATE FOR YOUR DIARY whether you enter the competition and are in the finals or not SUNDAY 1ST OCTOBER!!!

WHAT NEXT?  Full schedule and events for the celebration finals day on Sunday 1st October will be announced, get entered and get this date in your diary as there will be tennis and refreshments for everyone.

Thanks to nigel ( for doing the draw for us.

Please ensure payments paid – details on the form.  Entry fee: £2 per person per event (this covers the cost of trophies, prizes and balls).

New Bucks Tennis book!

Veteran Bucks tennis player David Orchard has written a book about Bucks tennis.

Inspired by the 2013 success of the Bucks Ladies county team when they became the overall winners at County Week, one of the oldest and most prestigious events in British tennis, Ninety Years to the Top focuses on the Bucks senior county teams and deals with every aspect of the game in Bucks since the formation of the Bucks LTA in 1923.

The rise and fall of all closed competitions, both team and individual, junior and senior is fully documented together with the changing role of the Bucks LTA alongside some fascinating historic detail.

Including a record of the performances of the senior county teams in all competitions together with full details of closed county tournaments at every level, Ninety Years to the Top is the most comprehensive book on the Bucks tennis scene yet published.

Buckinghamshire Lawn Tennis Association has published the book and copies can be obtained from them. Contact for more details or telephone 01494 462513

2016 AGM and revised constitution

We’d like to invite all our members to attend our AGM to be held on 23rd November at 7:30 in the clubhouse.

We have some new ideas on how to take the club forward next year by improving members benefits and experience at NPTC. We’re also planning a membership drive in 2017, but we’d welcome your thoughts as members and any ways in which you might be able to help.

You don’t have to commit to get involved, we do have some spaces on the committee, but we also invite suggestions and any offers of help from all our members.

This is your chance to have your say in club matters and to help steer its future, so we’d love to see as many of you as possible.

We draw your attention to our revised constitution.

Please find the revised constitution in the document below. Just click to view it.

Parts highlighted in red are to be removed.
Parts highlighted in green are to be added.
Parts highlighted in blue indicate a larger scale change.

Membership fee changes

Membership fees will remain the same but there will be one proposed change.

The half price child fee will be applicable when just one adult becomes a member, not two as currently.
