French Open 2017

A fabulous French Open fun event took place at the weekend where we welcomed members from Olney to join us. A great turn-out made for some brilliant tennis and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Delicious ‘french-themed’ food was also served and enjoyed while watching the ‘real’ French Open on our brand new TV! Many thanks to Chris for putting it up for us!

A big thank you goes to our enthusiastic social secretary, Andy Hopcraft for organising another fantastic event. We look forward to the next one.

Summer 2017 coaching programme!

All the details for the club’s summer 2017 coaching programme are here and info about our coaching team on our coaching page.

We have reduced the number of weeks in case the resurfacing work occurs, if it does not happen in the summer term we will add the additional three weeks at the end of term and charge for them in that instance.

New Bucks Tennis book!

Veteran Bucks tennis player David Orchard has written a book about Bucks tennis.

Inspired by the 2013 success of the Bucks Ladies county team when they became the overall winners at County Week, one of the oldest and most prestigious events in British tennis, Ninety Years to the Top focuses on the Bucks senior county teams and deals with every aspect of the game in Bucks since the formation of the Bucks LTA in 1923.

The rise and fall of all closed competitions, both team and individual, junior and senior is fully documented together with the changing role of the Bucks LTA alongside some fascinating historic detail.

Including a record of the performances of the senior county teams in all competitions together with full details of closed county tournaments at every level, Ninety Years to the Top is the most comprehensive book on the Bucks tennis scene yet published.

Buckinghamshire Lawn Tennis Association has published the book and copies can be obtained from them. Contact admin@buckstennis.com for more details or telephone 01494 462513

2016 AGM and revised constitution

We’d like to invite all our members to attend our AGM to be held on 23rd November at 7:30 in the clubhouse.

We have some new ideas on how to take the club forward next year by improving members benefits and experience at NPTC. We’re also planning a membership drive in 2017, but we’d welcome your thoughts as members and any ways in which you might be able to help.

You don’t have to commit to get involved, we do have some spaces on the committee, but we also invite suggestions and any offers of help from all our members.

This is your chance to have your say in club matters and to help steer its future, so we’d love to see as many of you as possible.

We draw your attention to our revised constitution.

Please find the revised constitution in the document below. Just click to view it.
